Processwork UK Practitioner

Helen Stone

Helen Stone is based in Guiseley in Yorkshire and works as a person-centred counsellor. Helen’s experience over the last 15 years has shown her how incredible people are at handling the difficulties that life throws at them, and how with the support of a counsellor people move from surviving to thriving.

Helen’s psychological interests include supporting people to recover from abuse, neglect and trauma, and working with those who are exploring their gender identity.

Helen’s decision to train to be a Processworker was based upon her passion to reach people who were being left out by current service provision, and her commitment to the principles of Deep Democracy; we are all enriched when we get interested in our diversity.

Helen has been facilitating groups for over 15 years, including teaching person centred counselling, and her work has been guided both by Carl Rogers and Arnold MIndell.

Helen works in private practice, counselling individuals, couples and facilitating groups. Over the past 15 years Helen has worked with clients who have experienced stress, anxiety, panic attacks, low confidence, relationship difficulties, bereavement, difficulty with alcohol and drug use, depression, questions over their sexuality or gender, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, self-harm, suicidal feelings, as well as those who just need somewhere to think things through.
