Lea Misan

I work part-time in private practice. For the past 7 years I have been exploring Processwork more deeply. An approach to working with my clients with an emphasis on valuing all the parts of ourselves with awareness, curiosity and non-judgement. I use a process-oriented, integrative model.

I am a counsellor and process oriented facilitator, trainer. Born in Israel, I grew up in Geneva, and now live in London, UK with my husband and 3 children. I work with individuals and groups and run a small charity which I founded, Act for Change. The charity works to help young people with social communication challenges and those who have experienced childhood trauma develop the skills they need to overcome the adversity in their lives. I have worked with parents, families, communities as well as local authorities to create change. I have recently begun co-facilitating small public forums on diverse social issues.

The background of my work has been laid down through my life experiences of growing up in an international community in Geneva and continues to be forged through my work with a wide array of people and experiences in the multi cultural and diverse city that is London. I am interested in engaging with diversity issues that both enrich and trouble us as individuals and communities and have been active for many years in community building and collaborations between communities, organisations and institutions of learning.

I hold a LLB in Law from the London School of Economics, am a Fellow in Holocaust Education with the Imperial War Museum, a Fellow with the School of Social Enterprise. I also hold a certificate in Humanistic and integrative counselling and am currently completing a Diploma in Process Oriented Psychology.

My private practice is in North London.
