Dw i’n bwy yn Llanystumdwy. I live in Llanystumdwy, very near the south facing coast of Cymru Gogledd, North Wales, where the Lleyn peninsular begins to jut out into the Irish Sea. I’m English and slowly learning Welsh: it feels important to learn the language of this land and people, and discover more of history and the present.

I live with my partner Ra whose long life as a musician, father, painter, acupuncturist and shiatsu practitioner; rugby player, lover and kind-hearted hippie, has evolved to a dance with dementia, and the world as accessed from his bed. Star – small, white and opinionated – is our four-legged companion. Being a carer is one of the main threads that weaves through my days, and prompts me to continue expanding my processwork understanding and skills: it was a while before I really accepted that this 1-1 work at home is an expression of worldwork. There’s much to say and teach about the individual and collective dimensions of old age and dementia and the personal, social and professional relationships and attitudes involved!
Processwork has guided my life for over twenty years, and I’m both proud and grateful to contribute to the life of the UK school. From overview to day- to-day running of the school and much in between, my roles include co- director and steering committee member, faculty team mate and part of the diplomates (graduate) community. I teach, facilitate and work with students both individually and as a collective. I’m also part of the faculty of IPOP, the Czech school of Processwork. My own deeply-valued mentors include Jean- Claude and Arlene Audergon, senior colleagues and founders of the UK school.

My earlier training and practice included community politics, philosophy and literature, bodywork, shamanic and ‘psychic’ or subtle energy work with groups and individuals including specifically with women, and especially in nature.
Racism, collective trauma and ecocide are aspects of our world that I see as most urgently in need of addressing. Like many of us, I feel called to contribute as best I can to a more deeply democratic world.
Processwork, like the wisdom traditions that it honours and is rooted in, includes the importance of non-consensus reality dimensions, and an understanding of the inter- connectedness of all things, as intrinsic to our capacity to make sense of ourselves, our lives and the world, to embrace our wholeness and to facilitate wherever we are.
