Psychotherapist, Trainer & Facilitator
Psychotherapist, trainer & facilitator currently working online with adult individuals & relationships; specialising in gender, sexuality & relationship diversity, body symptoms & chronic illness, and eco-psychology.
Hi! I’m back after spending 5 years on the ‘inadvertent sabbatical’ that was Long Covid, now keen to pass on all I’ve learned on my journey through chronic illness. I’ve also been for many years a carer for family members with chronic illnesses and am passionate about both the social context of disability and the potential for Process-Oriented bodywork to transform the experience of chronic illness.
Due to my caring commitments I currently work only online by Zoom, with adult individuals and relationships. I identify as white, middle-class, cisgender, queer, poly, kinky and neurodivergent.
Having worked at Leicester LGBT Centre over many years, I quickly grew into my enduring specialism of working with Gender, Sexual & Relationship Diversity (GSRD). I’ve co-founded Poly Counsellors UK, taught GSRD for therapists at Pink Therapy, PWUK and elsewhere and am actively involved in Trans allyship through Therapists Against Conversion Therapy & Transphobia (TACTT). As my identities have evolved I have remained fascinated by gender, sexuality and relationships in all their diversity, trouble and wonder.
In the past I’ve also worked for environmental and other activist groups, providing eco-psychology and conflict facilitation; and have been a member of Rhizome grassroots facilitator’s co-operative.
