Kirsten has a private practice in Bonn, Germany where she works with individuals, couples and groups and offers phone/skype sessions non-locally in German and English. She is interested in in supporting life transitions that often emerge through painful and difficult life experiences. She works with issues of trauma, pregnancy, cancer and other painful situations to find meaning were we usually don’t perceive it and get a sense of the direction we need to grow into.
Alongside several articles about abortion, still birth, breast cancer and grief work she published her first book 2009, a manual for doctors, midwives and counsellors on how to support women and couples with issues around prenatal screening and abortion. She has found and developed psychosocial counselling for pregnant women and couples alongside of prenatal screening in Germany.
Momentarily she is establishing psychological counselling for women of families with hereditary breast cancer within an European research project. She offers training and supervision for professionals.
